ooc notes. this is a catch all for the Crosby Street Hotel during TNDNBTG event (October 2025.)

Since there's several people either visiting because they got dragged there by someone, are now living there (permanently or temporarily) or whatnot. It's completely open if you need/want to do anything even if you aren't staying there, so feel free to stop by, be nosy, whatever! or if you wanna come play with the extent of a combo illusion between a lightweaver and illusionist have weaved because why be productive when you can just make your situation look better than it actually is, by all means!

There's always a fire going, too, so anyone who is cold or needs to dip in can just do so. it's like a regular hotel, you can just walk in and stuff. Yes, if you had a long walk and need a place to crash during sundowning because it's a little too far in the dark to make it back to your place, you're also welcome! Or you wanna stop by for a drink, etc.

Three open area toplevels have been made on the first floor, you are welcome to tag into those or make your own TL for others to tag into. If you want your character to temporarily stay, please just assume they are doing so, they don't need my OOC permission. If they're going to stay permanently, please let me know in some manner so I can add you to the list in case anything widespread happens that all residents would be aware of!

Showing up and never leaving is an acceptable form of lodging, just assume after a few days Aventurine got annoying and made them start contributing in some way to access to the supplies in the back. Anyone who lives there and contributes in some way (supply gathering, tidying up, even just being social butterfly to other people there or keeping an eye on guests and greeting them) can have access to the stash. Aventurine's goods and materials stash is quite extensive, as it's a combo of his own and Lortel's as he's inherited that since her disappearance.

[Kalmiya gives Aventurine's question some thought, preceding a wistful sigh.] I'm not sure that we'll be able to get through to him before he's done whatever he's intending to do.

I believe we can eventually, though. He desperately wants connections outside of Sleep, and that kind of loneliness is a powerful motivator. [The understanding in her words is obvious to her present Tethers; she's speaking from experience.] But it's going to take time to earn his trust and get him to believe that we can help each other.

[There's a weighty sense of resignation in the words. While Kalmiya doesn't mind doing that work, she has no illusions as to how the rest of the unwilling Vessels feel.]

Sleep has heavily suggested this world made him... as in his fearfulness and his sadness. Yet, She says he isn't out to harm it. She also claims She has no interest in helping him carry out anything against this world, even if he did. Has he been simply swayed into Her claims of a utopia? One doesn't sound like he dislikes Sleep, and She said he called to Her first. Except, the puzzle pieces are too scattered, still. We know he had others, but they were taken, probably by Sleep. However, what did he feel he was lacking in this world with them? They sounded quite close to him, so I assume he knew them before Sleep, but I guess that didn't necessarily the case. [ he knows how fast and hard relationships form under monumental circumstances. ]

...Ah, you and Sharon said he doesn't seem to have all his memories. Is it possible One is not from this world or has he been able to claim otherwise?
