♠ This lion lives there apparently somewhere. Their name is Momo. They aren't glamoured to look like anything but what they are. This was at one point a family-friendly place, maybe.

ooc notes. this is a catch all for the Crosby Street Hotel during TNDNBTG event (October 2025.)

Since there's several people either visiting because they got dragged there by someone, are now living there (permanently or temporarily) or whatnot. It's completely open if you need/want to do anything even if you aren't staying there, so feel free to stop by, be nosy, whatever! or if you wanna come play with the extent of a combo illusion between a lightweaver and illusionist have weaved because why be productive when you can just make your situation look better than it actually is, by all means!

There's always a fire going, too, so anyone who is cold or needs to dip in can just do so. it's like a regular hotel, you can just walk in and stuff. Yes, if you had a long walk and need a place to crash during sundowning because it's a little too far in the dark to make it back to your place, you're also welcome! Or you wanna stop by for a drink, etc.

Three open area toplevels have been made on the first floor, you are welcome to tag into those or make your own TL for others to tag into. If you want your character to temporarily stay, please just assume they are doing so, they don't need my OOC permission. If they're going to stay permanently, please let me know in some manner so I can add you to the list in case anything widespread happens that all residents would be aware of!

Showing up and never leaving is an acceptable form of lodging, just assume after a few days Aventurine got annoying and made them start contributing in some way to access to the supplies in the back. Anyone who lives there and contributes in some way (supply gathering, tidying up, even just being social butterfly to other people there or keeping an eye on guests and greeting them) can have access to the stash. Aventurine's goods and materials stash is quite extensive, as it's a combo of his own and Lortel's as he's inherited that since her disappearance.

[Urushihara, in his hoodie and with a handkerchief tied over his mouth and nose as a makeshift mask to protect against the dander from that beast they called a lion that lurked inside the hotel, hunkered deeper into the heavy folds of fabric and cast the puddle of a man a wearied, tired look.]

What did you expect?

[He asked with a droll boredom that carried the odd weight of time,]

Once the pillaging and destruction is over, there's really not much left. Just the hollowed out shells of cities and fields the don't even have food anymore.

[Which, now that he had the experience of being human, sounded needlessly cruel. No wonder the church's holy warrior, the Hero Emilia Justina, had made him drop from the sky.]

Of course the cause is part of a cult. In the place I'm from, it was the Devil's Army. It's always a group thing if it's not a natural disaster.

... Or a people-caused disaster. Whatever the difference is in this place.

[He heaved a sigh and tugged down his hood, revealing a shock of shaggy white hair that he had been hiding under it.]

... I'd offer to kill you, 'cause it's been a while and I could use the practice, but you're right about Aventurine. It'd probably make him mad.

[He glanced around, furtive.]

Is that demon lion still around? I need a break from this thing.

[What did he expect? He's not sure, to be fair. Something exciting, maybe. A more interesting death than starvation or exposure. It reminds him, oddly enough, of the stretch of time where he came to the conclusion that joining the Mafia had been a failure; he came searching for some reason to live amidst the death and destruction, and still found nothing.]

A bit more danger, perhaps. Those Host creatures could have the decency to try to tear me apart, but all they want to do is force me to look at the Moon. It's very unfortunate.

[BIG SIGHS! He is truly the most inconvenienced anyone has ever been by this.

The non-offer, such as it is, is interesting though. Dazai can't help a quiet laugh.]

That's quite a bold claim. Only Aven-kun's reaction would stay your hand? Many people have attempted to assassinate me, you know, but none have ever come close to success.

[He hums idly, before peeling himself off the stool and getting to his feet.]

[Sighing, he pulled off the handkerchief and started shrugging his way out of his oversized hoodie that was probably intended to be slept in.]

A guy asking for death can't be that tough,

[He said, sounding bored, and dropped the hoodie to the side. He stretched his white wings, ragged from being hidden, and shook his head in a futile attempt to get his equally white hair out of his face.]

Not just Sunglasses. With my luck, actually succeeding will make me puke.
