WHAT: i decided to spontaneously canon update jinx to the end of season 2 of arcane.

circle the drain — wage war.
[ you are feeling a pull; the weight is seeping into your bones as your mind falls into its soft and slow sway. you're conscious enough to realize you're beginning to nod off, and maybe this is your cue that you better go hit the hay, or maybe you're one of those stubborn fools who always fight it. either way and eventually, you soon descend backwards into the waiting dark—where a dream is reforming around you...... ]

Sailing Into The Light
[ and in this dream (or is it? because it feels a little too real, too vivid for your liking) you continue to fall, except now you see a woman with red hair, bruised and hurt, screaming and stretching out for you. but despite seeing the wail of this woman, you feel... love, contentment, and peace. because while you don't know this woman personally (or maybe you do), you know by doing what you're doing right now—leaving her behind—it will help her move forward in her life; it'll help her seek the happiness that she so desperately deserves. doing so will put an end to the pain, suffering, and sorrow that has been weighing heavily on so many people's hearts.
there's a fifty/fifty shot you will not make it; if you don't time this right, specifically to the T, you will certainly die. and you find that strange somehow, because you've thought of death a lot and you've sought it. but now that's at your doorstep, you somehow want to live. but is there a life for you outside of this? people say when you're face-to-face with death, your entire life flashes before your eyes, and that exact thing starts to happen for you.

what's strange is that...the life you are witnessing isn't yours. but someone else's, and you're seeing it from the outside looking in. ]
